At night people knowing where they are and which way to go next is the beginning to a safe journey. the next step is having enough light to be able to see where they're going and what is be in those dark corners.

The road crossing at Buckhold road / Wandsworth high street is deadly dangerous. People have already died there (an elderly lady got squashed under a lorry right in front of me a few years ago) and it’s only a matter of time before multiple people get wiped out by a vehicle - all it will take is one distracted bus driver or a tyre blow out on a lorry and a dozen people could die or be seriously injured. The island crossing is overcrowded: prams, dogs, people, hugely vulnerable waiting for minutes at a time in the middle of the road with traffic approaching them from three directions, stuck in a small island that seems to have been designed for a maximum of five people. Please change it urgently. I feel very scared using that crossing to get to the train station simply to go about my life as there are no other nearby options.
