Is there anything you would like to change?

Whilst the vision rightly considers a ‘holistic’ view of the night time economy it does not explicitly mention the impact on residents not participating in the nighttime economy. It is important to be upfront about the tension between those benefiting from it and residents impacted by noise etc and workers suffering health and social impacts of night work. A balance must be struck and if you want residents to engage with your strategy you have to acknowledge that in plain English.

I love the focus on inclusion. It would be great to further expand on the different groups of people in the borough and briefly state how the vision aims to address their needs beyond the short statement ‘from community hubs for residents and young people, late night supermarkets for night workers, to safer transport hubs for all’ as identified from research and consultation. E.g. Residents and visitors - being able to engage in leisure activities during evening and night Night time workers - greater access to amenities supporting their working pattern All, particularly women, disabled, marginalised groups - improved night time safety Etc
